How to Play

Collect four cards all the same to win points, but beware the terrible black Oh No card!

The Players

2 - 5 players

Ages: 4+ and up

The Pack

52 cards, 4 Oh NO! cards, and 12 sets of 4 cards

The Objective

Collect four cards all the same to win points, but beware the terrible black Oh No card!

Setup

Getting Started

Open your deck and spread the cards face down on a flat surface.

If there are 2 players, pick up 7 cards each. If there are 3 or more players, each player picks up 5 cards.

Hold your cards in your hand or use a holder.

Keep them secret!

Gameplay

The Caller

The oldest player in the group starts and becomes the Caller.

The Caller can ask any player for a card to match one in their hand.

Gameplay

Requesting Cards

Once the caller requests a card from a player, the player must hand over all of their requested cards of that type.

If the Caller gets 1 or more requested cards, the Caller can then ask any player again for the same card, or a different card in the Caller’s hand.

As long as the Caller succeeds in getting a card, the Caller’s turn continues.

If a player does not have the requested card, the player says: “Go Wild” and the Caller must pick up one card from the deck.

If the Caller picks up the requested card, the Caller’s turn continues and the Caller can request another card until no match is found. If the Caller fails to get the requested card, the person to Caller’s left becomes the new Caller.

Gameplay

Collecting a Set

If a Caller gets 4 of the same cards, it is called a “Set”

Once a Set is gathered, the Caller must show all 4 cards to the rest of the players and say: “Set”. The Caller must then place them face up on the table and play again.

Sets are worth 1 point.

The Twist

Oh NO! Cards

Oh NO! cards remove the point from a player’s Set.

If an Oh NO! card is in the Caller’s hand, they can start their turn by placing the Oh NO! card on another player’s Set, but then the Caller’s turn is over. Only one Oh NO! card can be played in a turn and only one can be applied to a Set.

If a Caller only has Oh NO! cards, but there are no gathered Sets, the Caller must draw 1 card from the deck and their turn ends.

At the end of the game, players lose 2 points for each unplayed Oh NO! card in their hand.

Winning the Game

How to Win

The game ends when there are no cards left on the table or when any player has no cards left.

The player with the most points wins!

If the score is tied, players shuffle the deck of cards and take turns drawing. The oldest person draws first. The last player without an Oh NO! card wins.
